The Things Network is a project to build a global open crowdsourced Internet of Things data network.  There is a team in Geneva, and several Pangloss Labs members have joined.

The Things Network uses LoraWAN technology, and a LoraWAN gateway for The Things Network has been installed at Pangloss Labs in Ferney-Voltaire.  It provides coverage for the entire town.  Example applications could include environmental sensors.
