Thanks to a kind donation from a local artisan who upgraded to a larger printer we are the proud owners of a FreeJet320 Digital Flat Printer.

Normally printers roll a sheet of paper around rollers to bring them to the print head. This flat printer physically moves the printhead over an object. With suitable inks it can print on almost anything, from T-shirts, to wood, to metal – even to cakes. We have bought some ink – in cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white (objects, unlike paper – come in colours other than white) and need to get it up and running.

The printer has an adjustable bed so can print on objects as thick as 200mm.

When it is working, we will make it available to Pangloss members as usual.
