Banyan Large Format 5 axis CNC machining center

The Banyan 5 axis CNC machine is a professional CNC system using a Syntec 60W-E control system.

It has a 10kW HSD spindle, a 10 tool autochanger, a drill head, a 3m long rotary B-Axis and a C-Axis available as one of the tools.

There is a vacuum table with 8 zones for workpiece hold-down.

Machine Status: Working

Dimensions: Maximum working area of the machine is 2000mm x 3000mm (yes, 2 x 3m!).  The 4th axis can work cylindrical pieces of up to 200mm diameter x 3000mm in length.  We have enough travel to drill holes in the side of the workpiece and machine at angles from 0-90 degrees using the C-Axis.

Materials: The Banyan CNC is suitable for cutting large panels of wood and plastic.

Toolchain: We will have a downloadable post-processor for Fusion 360 specifically to generate G-Code for this machine.
